Star Flight Training

Flying Club & Aircraft Hire at Brighton City Airport

About Us

Welcome to Star Flight Training, a new, friendly and very experienced flying club of pilots and instructors. Our Clubhouse is located next to the classic 1930s Art Deco terminal building at Brighton City Airport which is between Shoreham and Lancing in West Sussex on the South Coast of England. This wonderful historic setting is the oldest commercial airport in the world still in operation.

We are deeply passionate about aviation and proud to operate a fleet of single-engined, two-seat Cessna 152s, and four-seat Piper PA28s. We consider these aircraft to be best training aircraft ever. All our aircraft are available for private-hire for existing licence holders with a current UK licence.

We also offer SEP (Single Engine Piston) training for qualified pilots looking to maintain or expand their flying privileges. Whether you require a renewal, revalidation, refresher training, or want to add an SEP rating onto your licence, our experienced team of flight instructors can provide tailored training to help you stay current, confident, and compliant.

Our intention is that Star Flight Training will launch a full range of flight training courses during the Summer or Autumn of 2026 and also that the Clubhouse will evolve as a meeting place for aviation related activities.

We understand every pilot’s goals are different, whether it’s blocks of hour building flight time or if you want to fly your family locally or to France? Please get in touch with our friendly and knowledgeable flight operations team to discuss your individual requirements including licencing advice.
