Star Flight Training ("STAR", "we", "us", "our") is a trading name of Voyager Holdings Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16702301. We operate as a Declared Training Organisation (DTO.0386) under the oversight of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data when you visit our website, make an enquiry, or train with us.

2. What personal data we collect
We collect different categories of personal data depending on how you interact with us.
2.1 Website enquiries
If you contact us through our website's enquiry form, we collect:

- The content of your enquiry message
2.2 Student and pilot training records
If you enroll on a training course with us, we collect a more extensive set of personal data necessary to deliver and regulate flight training, including:
- Full name and date of birth
- Home address
- A copy of identification documents
- Aviation medical certificate information
- Pilot licence numbers and details
- Flight hours and training progress records
2.3 Payment information
Online payments are processed by Stripe, and in-office card payments are processed by Worldpay. We also accept bank transfer. We do not store full card details ourselves — these are handled directly by our payment processors in line with their own security and privacy standards. We may retain a record of payment amounts, dates, and references for accounting and regulatory purposes.
2.4 CAA submissions
As a CAA-approved Declared Training Organisation, we are required to share certain student and training data with the Civil Aviation Authority for licensing and regulatory audit purposes.
2.5 Aircraft hire and booking data
Aircraft hire and lesson bookings are managed through FlightCloud, a third-party booking platform operated independently of Star Flight Training's website. When you book aircraft hire or training slots, FlightCloud processes the associated personal data under its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing FlightCloud's privacy policy directly for details of how it handles your data. Star Flight Training accesses booking data held within FlightCloud as needed to operate and administer training and hire activities.
3. Cookies
Our website only uses strictly necessary (essential) cookies required for the site to function correctly. We do not use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies, and we do not collect any data for marketing purposes.

- Stripe and Worldpay — for processing payments
- FlightCloud — for aircraft hire and lesson booking management
- The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) — as required for licensing and regulatory audit
- Zoho — our email service provider, used to send and manage correspondence
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK as part of their own infrastructure (for example, where a provider operates international data centres). Where this occurs, we rely on the provider's own compliance with UK data protection law, including appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses, where applicable.
We do not sell personal data to any third party, and we do not share data for marketing purposes.
6. How long we keep your data
Enquiry form submissions: retained for the regulatory minimum retention period, generally 5 years
Student/pilot training records: retained for the regulatory minimum retention period, generally 5 years, in line with CAA requirements
After these periods, data is securely deleted unless we are required to retain it for longer by law.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, where applicable
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
